第6章 稳当话也即平常话 本分人也即快活人

Proper words are ordinary words;dutiful persons are happy persons.

稳当[1]话，却是平常话，所以听稳当话者不多；本分[2]人，即是快活人，无奈做本分人者甚少。

[1]稳当：稳妥贴切。

[2]本分：安分守己。

今文解译

妥帖的话也即平常的话，所以听得进妥帖话的人不多。

本分的人也即快乐的人，只可惜愿做本分人的人太少。

English Translation

Proper words are what called ordinary words;that's why those who are unwilling to pay heed to them are many.

Dutiful persons are what called happy persons;but it's a regret that those who are ready to stick to their duties are few.
